Boiler Replacement in Sussex: Why Install a New Boiler?

Is your existing boiler getting a bit old, say more than 15 years? It’s time for a very positive change. While it may be chugging on reliably (or you think it is), it’s not doing you any favours.

Equally, we need to advise that an old boiler could be dangerous; the release of carbon monoxide over time is deadly – a silent killer. The cost of servicing and repairs eventually ceases to be cost-effective, too.

And, for some models, such as Powermax, servicing is not worthwhile. You will need it to be replaced.

Fancy Saving Some Money?

Firstly, when it comes to boiler replacement in Sussex, the new models have been built with the latest technology and are, on the whole, massively more energy efficient. And, we do mean massively.

There are no guarantees, but how does a combi boiler that could save you between £215 and £475 on average sound?

According to the Energy Savings Trust, over half of average household spending goes on hot water and heating for your home. https://energysavingtrust.org.uk/advice/boilers/

So, these could be chunky savings.

Add to this improved heating control, quieter boiler operation, and a likely space-friendly, smaller size that fits snugly inside a cupboard, and the benefits are pretty compelling, don’t you think?

1. Site Visit

An essential step, of course. Let’s cut to the chase:

A new boiler, also known as a system conversion, will typically involve substantial and vital work.

Therefore, we’re keen to get the full picture:

  • Where is the boiler, and how accessible is your property?

  • What’s your current system set up?
Let’s check how many radiators you have, plus your existing pipework and drainage

  • How do you use heating and hot water?

  • What are your concerns?

2. Let’s Get Started

In addition to replacing your old boiler, part of the new installation may involve a “power flush” – a pressurised deep clean of the entire central heating system. This “clean out” helps your new boiler to start at peak efficiency. And, stay that way.

During installation, your engineer will carry out a predetermined number of essential industry-standard checks and processes required by law.

There’s no need to worry: RWL will remove and organise safe, legal disposal of your old boiler.

3. Clean and Tidy Afterwards

Your engineer will clean and tidy up. Don’t forget to organise your brand-new boiler for servicing within 12 months. Book with us and your first service will be free of charge. Equally, regular servicing will ensure that you maintain your warranty.

Please may we ask that you be present after we’ve finished so that we can show you how everything works.

It all starts here. Get in touch for more information about RWL’s experience in boiler installation in Sussex.
